Mayhem Festival, one of the biggest touring rock festivals in North America, has continued to grow as it enters its seventh year. The event released its official lineup on Monday, as well as all of the locales where the tour will be stopping. Avenged Sevenfold and Korn are listed as the headliners, and nearly 20 other bands will perform across a total of four stages.
Trivium and Asking Alexandria will join the headliners on the event's main stage, but metal fans might take more interest in the acts that will populate the festival's smaller stages. For one, Mayhem Fest will be the first tour for deathcore act Suicide Silence since the death of vocalist Mitch Lucker during 2012. Eddie Hermida of All Shall Perish was formally brought on by the band as a replacement for Lucker.
Cannibal Corpse will bring a level of heaviness to Mayhem Fest that's a bit more than even the most hardcore bands featured in the event's history, and on the other side of things, Ice T and Body Count will also be performing. Ice T is often thought of as a hip-hop performer, but his work with Body Count is more heavy metal than anything.
There will also be a motorsports exhibition featuring motocross performer Jimmy Fitzpatrick and the Fitz Army, as well as "surprises and attractions." Check out the full list of dates below:
