As The New York Times reports, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was kicked off an Amtrack silent car for talking too loudly on his cellphone. The noisy presidential candidate was escorted off the Acela Express after refusing to lower the volume of his cellphone conversation, according to a spokeswoman. Christie was on the train returning from an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation."

According to Gawker, a passenger on the train recounted, "[Christie] got on last minute yelling at his two secret service agents I think because of a seat mixup, sat down and immediately started making phone calls on the quiet car. After about 10 minutes the conductor asked him to stop or go to another car. He got up and walked out again yelling at his secret service. He was drinking a McDonald's strawberry smoothie."

Christie is known for his loud, boisterous style, which has earned him both praise and criticism from the electorate. His brash nature has allowed the candidate to say things many other seasoned politicians would shy away from. However, after a scandal involving the closing of a lane of the George Washington Bridge due to political retribution, Christie has had a hard time reaching above the single digits in the polls.

Aids to Governor Christie have a different account of the incident, claiming Christie did not yell, and left the train on his own accord.

"On a very full train this morning, the governor accidentally took a seat in Amtrak's notorious quiet car," Samantha Smith, a Christie campaign spokeswoman, said in an email. "After breaking the cardinal rule of the quiet car, the governor promptly left once he realized the serious nature of his mistake and enjoyed the rest of his time on the train from the cafe car. Sincere apologies to all the patrons of the quiet car that were offended."
