Lil' Wayne and Christina Milian recently split in September but if a recent interview is any indication, she still holds a lot of love for the rapper. The star of E!'s Turned Up talks her ex, the break-up and timing in the live-streaming interview that was released this past Monday (October 26). The two also released their collaboration song, "Do It," last month.

"What's fantastic about everything is that we're adults, and we understand maybe it's not the right time for us, but we do love each other," Milian said to Huffpost Live on Monday, as well as answering questions about her acting, career in the music industry and young daughter.

She also alluded to their maturity as a couple, adding, "It takes a big man and a big woman to actually say, 'Okay, I'm in love with you, but I can't keep forcing it - it's only pushing us apart'."

People Magazine reported that the two began their relationship last July but it remained undisclosed until May in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She also confirmed in the recent live interview that her track "Rebel" was about the rapper. The singer was also promoting the release of a new music video.

At the time, Milian even alluded to relationship inspiring her work in the Entertainment Tonight interview and said, "He's very special to me, yeah. You never know, love does inspire beautiful things like that, right?" And then she simply smiled into the camera.

She also expressed to Entertainment Tonight that the secret couple were just "living freely" together and not putting undue expectations on any aspect of their relationship. The split hardly was hardly shocking, as most were unaware that they were a couple until the very end of the relationship.

Milian further elaborated on what attracted her to the rapper during the Huffpost Live interview, saying, "I definitely got him to try and think things out of the box. Whether it was like going to a restaurant instead of eating a home with his chef, or, doing sexy, fun things that I didn't even do."

She also insinuated how private of a couple that they were and said, "Like we went to a private beach and it was romantic and nobody was there and it was dark too, and scary! But it was so adventurous and fun."

While the duo might seem to be a case of opposites attract, there is something to be said about a relationship even lasting a year in the fast-paced music industry.
