Ever since Ozzy Osbourne had announced a final album, Black Sabbath fans were of course under the impression that the iconic rock trio would be releasing a second reunion album. Now, the band's frontman has confirmed that they will not be entering the studio again to record a follow-up to 13 for Universal after all, but will rather focus on their final The End tour.  Apparently, this is the end of the final album idea.

Last September, Ozzy had spoken with Metal Hammer to reveal that the band was planning a new record as soon as possible, but had been set back by guitarist Tony Iommi's cancer treatments for his lymphoma.

According to a recent interview that Osbourne had with NOLA's Times-Picayune shortly before his solo set at this year's Voodoo Fest, the singer stated that the band has "opted against" recording a final album. "It's the end of Sabbath, believe me," he said. "In December, I'll be f**king' 68 and I think it's time to call it the end of the day. I'm not saying I won't get on stage with Geezer [Butler] or Tony (Iommi) or any of them some time, but officially we're going to be done. I don't want it to dwindle and dwindle and play just for the sake of making another f**king' sack full of cash. So it's time, and then I'll go back to doing my own thing."

The band's massive final The End tour will kick off on January 20, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska, and will continue through the end of September of next year.  You can check out the band's full list of tour dates and a tour announcement clip via their official website. Until the tour begins, Osbourne will also perform a solo set at his own OZZFest Japan in Chiba on November 22.
