Gary Clark Jr. recently performed an epic show in his hometown of Austin, Texas, and footage of the powerful blues guitarist shredding one of his recent tracks, "Grinder," has surfaced. The clip is set to appear on an upcoming episode of Austin City Limits on PBS.

Clark Jr. powers through the track with ease, backed by a gospel choir and horn section. According to Rolling Stone (who premiered the clip earlier today), the upcoming ACL episode, which is set to premiere tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 31), will also feature Australian rocker, Courtney Barnett.

The current season of Austin City Limits, which is the series' 41st season, has featured performances from Cassandra Wilson, Sturgill Simpson, Asleep at the Wheel and Don Henley. TV on the Radio and the War on Drugs will be featured on a Nov. 7th episode, followed by James Taylor on Nov. 14.

During the same performance, Gary Clark Jr. also performed his tempo-building and equally soulful song, "The Healing," for the audience. After an enthralled audience finished screaming and clapping, he gave a nice shoutout to his mom at the very end. Both songs appear on GCJ's latest 2015 album, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, which is out now on Warner Bros. Records.

The latest album serves as a follow-up to his 2012 record, Blak And Blu, which really started to put the talented rock songwriter on the map, ushering an invite to perform at Eric Clapton's 2013 Crossroads Music Festival at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The blues rock icon will head to Europe next month, but in between, you can catch the last of his U.S. tour dates for the year. He'll then head back out on an extensive North American tour in February 2016. More information on his current tour can be found on his official website.
