The moment has finally arrived! The long-awaited and highly anticipated sequel to the box office hit movie Finding Nemo is arriving in theaters next year. To give fans a taste of what they can expect from their favorite forgetful fish, Disney Pixar released the first official Finding Dory trailer on Tuesday morning (Nov. 10).

Although the trailer doesn't give away too many secrets from the forthcoming film, it does show the beloved characters (Dory, Nemo and Marlin) reunited once again. Dory is back in all her forgetful glory as she embarks on an epic journey to find her family, trying her best to remember specific details along the way.

The story is set six months from when the original film took place. The chatty Pacific regal blue tang, voiced by talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, randomly recalls a memory about "the jewel of Monterey, California," and ultimately sets off to the sunshine state with Nemo and Marlin by her side. There, they meet an array of new sea creature friends.

According to JustJared.com, the film's official tagline reads: "The friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish reunites with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way."

The sequel will feature a star-studded cast, including Albert Brooks (who's reprising the voice of Marlin), Hayden Rolence (Nemo), Diane Keaton (Dory's mom Jenny), Eugene Levy (Dory's father Charlie), Ty Burrell (Bailey, the Beluga whale), Ed O'Neill (Hank, the octopus), Kaitlin Olson (Dory's adopted sister Destiny), Willem Dafoe (Gill, a Moorish Idol from Finding Nemo) and Vicki Lewis (Deb/Flo, a four-striped damselfish).

Former James Bond contender Idris Elba and The Affair star Dominic West are also expected to voice characters in the film, but their roles have yet to be announced.

Finding Dory is scheduled to hit a theater near you on June 17, 2016.
