Ed Sheeran's Gingerbread Man Records has its latest signee, and for fans who keep a close tab on the "Thinking Out Loud" singer, his new act is no surprise. On Monday (Nov. 30), Sheeran announced that he's tapped his friend and "inspiration" Foy Vance for his imprint.

Vance, an Irish singer-songwriter, is the second artist to be tied to Gingerbread Man Records, following the signing of Jamie Lawson earlier this year.

Sheeran revealed that he has signed Vance on his Twitter, along with a new digital download.

Details surrounding Vance's new album remain scarce, but according to his official website, he is recording the LP at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and is working with producer Jacquire King, who has worked with everyone from James Bay to Of Monsters and Men to Norah Jones. King also won a Grammy in 2010 for his work on the smash Kings of Leon hit "Use Somebody."

As for Vance, his new album is due out in spring 2016. He also gave a bit of a taste of what is to come with an acoustic, in-studio performance of his new single "She Burns."

Sheeran has been a longtime fan and supporter of Vance's. Earlier this year, he covered Vance's "Make It Rain" for the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, breathing new life into the song and brining Vance's name to his legions of fans. The two also collaborated on Vance's 2013 album Joy of Nothing for the single "Guiding Light."
