Just in time for the Dec. 1 Blu-Ray/DVD release of Asif Kapadia's Amy documentary, a deleted scene has been shared of Winehouse making her way down the red carpet as she talks about Beyoncé and details her excitement to be a part of the 2004 Brit Awards with two nominations. Tyler James, a dear friend of the "Back to Black" singer, looks back on the night of the awards as an eerie climax for Winehouse's career as a singer and entertainer.

The clip offers footage of Winehouse showing up on the Brit Awards while participating in an excited exchange with a reporter. "I'm just excited to be here," she said before worrying, "I don't want to miss Beyoncé!" James explains in the clip's voice over that the media welcomed the fact that the "Love Is A Losing Game" singer was "curvy," which brought out the worst in her weight and body image issues. The award for Best British Female went to Dido, and Amy didn't try to hide her feelings of disappointment while a look of disdain swept over her face. What started off as an occasion of enthusiasm slowly morphed into a night of let down.

Although the film has seen critical acclaim while becoming one of the highest-grossing British documentaries, the "Rehab" singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, has been boisterous about his contempt for the interpretation of his daughter's life and relationships. Winehouse recently expressed his desire to create his own documentary about the late singer's life with the help of her former partner, Reg Traviss.

"We hope to start work fairly shortly on it. But it's going to be more than just a film," he explained to Bang Showbiz, as MSN reports. "All of the people who weren't in the film are hopping mad. They want their voices to be heard. We don't want to be like Asif, we'll let people say what they want, but we don't want it to be negative," he continued.

"What I learned was what a creative, intelligent, funny human being she was," Kapadia told Rolling Stone of his experience crafting the film. "I didn't know any of that. I don't know if anyone did."
