The night has finally arrived! NBC will air a live broadcast of The Wiz Live! featuring a star-studded cast on Thursday (Dec. 3) at 8 p.m. ET. Are you ready to see musicians like Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo and newcomer Shanice Williams like you've never seen them before? NBC's third annual live production will be brought to you by a "Tony-winning creative team, the imaginative Cirque du Soleil Theatrical, and a diverse cast of showstoppers to create an eye-popping new take unlike anything ever seen."

Fans can expect an all-star cast featuring rapper and actor Queen Latifah (Wiz), Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige (Evillene, Wicked Witch of the West), Tony Award nominee David Alan Grier (Cowardly Lion), Orange is the New Black's Uzo Aduba (Glinda, Good Witch of the South), Glee's Amber Riley (Addaperle), The Butler's Elijah Kelley (Scarecrow), Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo (Tin Man), the original Broadway Dorothy, Stephanie Mills (Auntie Em), Academy Award-winning songwriter Common (Bouncer, gatekeeper of the entrance to Emerald City), and introducing Shanice Williams (Dorothy).

The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical "Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which tells the story of Dorothy's remarkable journey through Oz, is the winner of seven Tony Awards including "Best Musical," "Best Original Score," "Best Choreography," "Best Costume Design," and "Outstanding Musical."

A film adaptation of the Broadway classic hit theaters in 1978, starring iconic musicians and actors like Diana Ross as Dorothy, Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow, Nipsey Russell as the Tin Man, Richard Pryor as the Wizard, and Lena Horne as Glinda.
