Kygo has had a strong 2015, releasing single after single and touring the globe at bigger and bigger venues as year progressed. However wrapping up his best year to date, Kygo is unleashing one last single "Stay" with Maty Noyes and looking forward to 2016 with his biggest project yet - his debut artist album that has been in the works for over a year-and-a-half. The "Stole The Show" producer shared that the album would be released on Feb. 12, 2016.

"Stay" has everything Kygo fans want from him. There are the same melodic patterns and sounds that give off a strong whiff of the summery, relaxed and island vibe that come from a Kygo track. Normally he goes with a male singer, but the addition of Maty Noyes works well on this record.

It is another solid effort from Kygo, but as listeners start to look to a full-length where more is expected from an artist, it will be interesting to see if he continues with these same melodies and sounds for a full album. Some experimentation and growth would be expected, but to completely ditch the sound he has championed might be a little disingenuous. Either way, fans eagerly await Feb. 12.

Kicking off 2016, Kygo is attempting his biggest live performance yet. He is headlining Barclay's Center on Jan. 21 with a brand new live show that he has been unveiling at various shows during 2015 including one at Hollywood Bowl, where he had John Legend as a special guest. Pick up tickets here.
