Carly Fiorina is floundering. While her debate performances are often strong, and she is able to articulate her positions with clarity and force, she has not been able to make any significant gains in the polls or catch the nation's attention. Thus, it can be reasoned that the ousted CEO of Hewlett-Packard is a bit frustrated. This frustration manifested in an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo over her comments on Planned Parenthood. Fiorina's rhetoric about the women's health clinic has been particularly fiery through the course of her campaign, and Cuomo wanted to know if she was willing to back off her incendiary comments after the recent attack of a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs.

On a segment of Chris Cuomo's New Day, the host was in rare form, going after Fiorina with particular tenacity. Cuomo continually pushed Fiorina on whether she would apologize for her comments about the organization after the attack. After insinuating that her remarks about videos, that turned out to be edited and false, incited the Planned Parenthood attacks, Fiorina responded, "'Oh really, Chris?' There have been nine videos, it is very clear what Planned Parenthood have been doing. Several weeks ago, Planned Parenthood made a quiet little announcement that they would no longer accept compensation for what they call 'fetal tissue.' That's about as close to an admission as you can get."

When further pushed by Cuomo, regarding the revelation that the videos Fiorina had repeatedly criticized in her campaign were doctored, Fiorina grew very angry. She said, "There has been forensic evidence of those nine video tapes over and over again, and there have been reports that they were not edited."

While Fiorina's claims have not been corroborated, it seems her attacks on Planned Parenthood have not helped her in the polls, and her continued vitriol over the issue likely will not help.
