Jazz at Lincoln Center has been packed with special performances this season. Next among the bastion of heavyweights coming to Columbus Circle is pianist Cecil Taylor, who will visit Swing University this May and June.

A founding father of that free strain of jazz, the keyboard wiz is still one of the idiom's archetypes even some 60 years later.

WKCR program director Ben Young will also share his long-standing affinity for Taylor's tunes, and he will also guide the audience through the musician's often heady work.
