The next stage in video gaming is coming soon, and the first week of 2016 holds the first steps to take towards the future: pre-ordering the Oculus Rift! Though the Oculus controller won't come out until later this year, you can claim your virtual reality headset this week. Not only will you hold your place in line for VR gaming, you get two games with the Pre-Order, which starts at 8am PST on January 6, 2016. Plus, the tech company's founder, Palmer Luckey, is taking part in a special Reddit AMA later in the day.

As you can see, no price has been mentioned. That's because we still don't have an official amount tied to the Oculus Rift. According to Polygon though, it might cost more than $350, if earlier reports are to be trusted.

"It's just the reality that when you make this thing, you have to decide what trade-offs you're going to make," Luckey told RoadToVR.com in an interview from October 2015. "Are you going to optimize for absolute lowest price possible, even if it's going to be a lower quality experience? We need to put a stake in the ground and say, 'This is the best possible experience that we were able to make. No compromises were made in terms of quality. "

According to the official pre-order announcement from Oculus, Lucky's Tale by Playful and CCP's EVE: Valkyrie are bundled into the purchase of a Rift.
