Festival season kicked off this month with a slew of major festival announcements and ticket on-sales from festivals like Coachella and Governors Ball, as well as few up-and-coming festivals. Although Okeechobee Music + Arts Festival in Okeechobee, Florida announced its lineup last fall, the festival is gaining popularity fast. Okeechobee which will take place March 4-6 and will break new ground as Florida's biggest camping festival. Musical headliners include acts like Mumford & Sons, Skrillex, and Kendrick Lamar. Tickets for Okeechobee are currently on-sale, and have already hit the resale market. As the popularity of the camping festival increases, fans can expect to see availability dwindle.

As it stands, three-day passes on the resale market are averaging $342 with the cheapest ticket available for $311, according to data provided by TiqIQ. Face-value passes for Okeechobee are listed for $268, including fees, and a 4-day extended camping pass is listed for $289.95. The "Eternal Sunshine" VIP Experience begins at $636.46, and various parking passes are listed for purchase. Passes to the festival include a grassy camping environment, access to all live music and performances, art installations, a dusk-to-dawn Jungle stage, workshops, yoga classes and a beach stage with swimming. Fans coming from outside of Florida who are looking to avoid camping on festival grounds can find cheap hotels on Hipmunk.com, where lodging starts for as low as $54 per night. Although the festival is brand new in 2016, Okeechobee's fresh location and inspiring lineup is likely to draw festival fanatics from around the globe. It has already been cited as one of the top festivals events for all of 2016, according to The New York Times. Okeechobee was created by one of the driving names behind the world famous Bonnaroo and will take place on a 848-acre property formerly known as Sundance Trails. The multi-genre bill boasts more than 80 artists, bands and DJs to play on five stages, and does an excellent job including newer and older acts on its packed roster. Other performers included in the bill are Bassnectar, Deer Tick, Fetty Wap, Hall and Oates, Grace Potter, Miguel, The Avett Brothers, Ween and more.
