If you aren't already excited about Suicide Squad, then you need to hurry and catch up! The movie, set to release in August, has a new official, extended trailer out now and it is startlingly impressive.
The trailer features a government agent (Viola Davis) rounding up the "worst heroes ever" for a mission that may or may not leave them dead. Yeah, it's sort of messed u,p but the crew is all for it, especially since if they make it out, they get their criminal records wiped clean. This crew that we speak of? Only the best group of badass bandits:
-Will Smith: Deadshot, a trigger happy assassin
-Margot Robbie: Harley Quinn, a classy but crazy villian
-Jai Courtney: Captain Boomerang, a slightly drunk nutjob from Australia
-Cara Delevingne: Enchantress, the one possessed by a witch
-Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje: Killer Croc, a human crocodile that eats people
-Jay Hernandez: El Diablo, a walking fire ball, literally
The main crew is joined by Jared Leto as The Joker and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, the head of the squad on the government side. Also, Karen Fukuhara plays Katana, the cool, sword-slinging ninja.
The whole trailer is set to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," and it gives it that finishing touch that it needs. The visual for the movie, released by Warner Bros., is filled with so much action, it is hard to believe that it's just a trailer. There are some funny parts that include Harley breaking a store window for a purse. Her excuse? "We're bad guys. It's what we do."
The first trailer was good and it gave you insight into the characters' past life before they became villains and the second trailer is adding missing pieces to the puzzle. After watching this trailer, you'll know what the Suicide Squad is up against and it will give you the motivation needed to go watch the film. As if you didn't have it already!
