Blink-182's Mark Hoppus recently shared an in-studio photo of himself with bandmate Travis Barker, new addition Matt Skiba, and producer John Feldmann, who has worked with All Time Low and 5SOS in the past.

Feldmann, who is also the frontman of punk/ska band Goldfinger, is known for his role in helping to produce All Time Low's 2011 successful album, Dirty Work, as well as 5 Seconds of Summer's latest 2015 album, Sounds Good Feels Good.

Blink-182 began its new journey last year when founding member Tom DeLonge was kicked out of the band for allegedly avoiding scheduling studio time with his bandmates, both of whom had then decided to proceed without him along with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba.

The newly-formed trio has, so far, only performed a few shows together on the West Coast, which took place mid-year last year after a few rehearsals, but as of yet, no new studio material has been released for public consumption.

Drummer Travis Barker recently elaborated on the progress the trio have made thus far on the new record. "Blink album is coming together. I'm excited. I don't want to reveal too much," Barker stated. "I don't know how many songs we're gonna write before we say 'this is the group of 12 songs we're putting on the album.' We have 15-20 songs right now, but I really feel like it's a process."

He also hinted that the band may be eyeing a Summer 2016 release for the new album centered around some touring, adding "There's tentatively some plans to play shows during summer. Everything will come together and be revealed in due time. It's gonna be great."
