With the recent comments made by Stacey Dash about black history month, BET and the the NAACP Image Awards, many entertainers have taken it upon themselves to respond and express a difference of opinion. However, none of the responses have been as brash Janet Hubert's comments, who stated that Dash needed to have the black slapped off of her, and other harsh words. Did she take it too far?

Hubert is one who is known to speak out and voice her opinion in many situations, and often times with an attitude that is very similar to her witty and feisty character played on the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, the first Aunt Viv. She was later replaced by Daphne Reid. When Aunt Viv (Hubert) gave a snappy comeback on the show, viewers thought of it as comedy but, in her regular everyday life, the snappy comeback or opinions that she gave about Dash may have been a little too much.

As reported by HNGN, Hubert made an appearance on HuffPost Live on Thursday Jan. 28, where she shared her feelings towards Dash's comments. While being interviewed, the host of the HuffPost Live interview allowed Hubert to watch the clip of Dash's FOX commentary and Hubert then responded.

"Somebody needs to slap the little bit of black she got on her off of her." stated Hubert after watching the Dash clip. "The little bit of black she got on her, off of her, because girlfriend has worked on BET more than most actresses have." Hubert continued by suggesting that Dash is only making comments like the ones she made about segregation because she's seeking "sensationalism" and a check from Fox; and also claimed that Dash is seeking the spotlight by bringing controversy to herself because she can be "a bit of a media ho." Apparently Hubert's own recent media sensationalism slipped her mind.

Hubert is not the only entertainer to disagree with Dash. Whoopi Goldberg has spoken out on her talk show The View on the importance of having black history month taught in schools and Wendy Williams even used her talk show platform to address her opinions on what the Clueless actress stated. But the word "ho," or suggesting that someone be slapped, were never words uttered on television by either of these women when speaking about Dash. In fact, actress Gabrielle Union chose not to utter any words at all about Dash.

While attending the Sundance Film Festival Union was asked what seems to be the conversation starter for most these day, what are your views on Stacey Dash and her comments. According to Entertainment Weekly, Union took the dismissive approach by alluding to the fact that Dash just doesn't exist.

"Who's Stacey Dash?" Union asked. "Is she like related to Dame Dash? Was she on Roc-A-Fella?" Union joked. "I heard of a crazy lady once, but I don't know what her name is."

Though many have reacted to Dash's comments about black history, the Single Ladies actress says how people took it is not how she meant it at all.

According to EOnline, Dash took a moment to explain exactly what she meant in her blog. She wrote, "I'm not saying we as black people deserve LESS respect. I'm saying we deserve MORE," Dash wrote according to E Online. "Black History should be a part of social studies and history curriculum EVERYDAY OF EVERY MONTH OF EVERY YEAR." This echoes comments by Morgan Freeman back in 2009, that were largely applauded.
