Crystal Castles have been pretty quiet on the release front over the past year ever since Alice Glass left the group in October 2014. Producer Ethan Kath was left on his own until he found her replacement, Edith Frances and with the band back to two members they are gearing up to release the group's fourth album at some point this spring.
According to Pitchfork, the album will include loose singles from 2015 "Frail" and "Deicide." It will be the group's first album since 2012's III, following their other numerically titled albums, II in 2010 and their self-titled debut in 2008. With that trend it wouldn't too far-fetched to think the new album will be called IV, but with half the band gone anything is possible.
To support the album that will be released at some point soon, they have announced a string of gigs over the spring and summer that include some festival shows in the United States like Buku Music + Arts Project, Ultra Music Festival and Spring Awakening, which hasn't been announced yet. They are also a part of the Reading & Leeds Festival in the UK at the end of the summer.
