Justin Bieber just can't go anywhere without causing a commotion of some kind. Part of it that's he's got legions of crazed fans who follow him wherever he goes, but part of the blame has to go to the pop star's reckless behavior as well. Both issues were in play when his stop at a nightclub in Southampton, Long Island ended in a "bloody brawl."

Bieber last played a show on July 30 in Newark, NJ, and opted to party in the New York before heading south to Charleston, SC. During his stay in the region, he went to the South Pointe nightclub on the easternmost regions of Long Island, a move that theoretically should have shaken his less-than-18-year-old fan base. Turns out he couldn't get privacy at the nightclub either.

Bieber showed up around 2 a.m. according to reports and claimed the VIP area. Unnamed sources told the New York Daily News that the pop star's security detail was a little too much, being described as "intimidating" and "overbearing."

"They were heavy-handed in their protection of him," one attendee said.

Still, some managed to access Bieber's circle. The trouble started when a boyfriend of one of the girls present shared some angry words with the "Believe" vocalist. Bieber did not take too kindly to the comments.

"He ripped his shirt off and went nuts. He was screaming," the source said. Security at the club escorted Bieber out, but the running crew for the instigator followed, and the fight continued in the parking lot.

Bieber's publicist later said that the vocalist hadn't been in an altercation, but a rep for South Pointe said there had been an "incident" and said the club was reviewing security footage before taking further action.
