Though Kyiv are well behind thanks to the first leg of the round, manager Serhiy Rebrov is still hopeful that his side can take home a positive result today.
"We will try to rid ourselves of the nerves. I think we have a chance provided the players don't feel nervous," the coach said, according to UEFA.com. "If they are relaxed they will create chances. We will fight for a result, regardless of the result of the first leg. We have to be focused, we have to work hard and we have to be strong. But most of all we have to be a team. We have a lot of good players, but we have to be a team. We want to play at full steam from the start of the match - but it doesn't always happen."
Meanwhile, City footballer Fernandinho spoke to the team's website about becoming complacent with the first leg results, which would be a mistake.
"The first leg in Kyiv was their first game after their winter break but now they have played a few games in the league and in the cup as well," he explained. "I think they will be in better condition and we need to be careful and concentrate 100%. It is the target of everyone at the Club to do well in the Champions League, to go far as far as we can and this year we have a great chance to do that."
