Earlier this month, iconic early 2000s post-hardcore, or emo, band The Anniversary teased some kind of reunion by sharing an image with 2016 under their band name. This had fans on social media buzzing for a number of days, but earlier this week the band made it official: after 13 years apart, The Anniversary is performing together at the Taste Of Chaos Festival in San Bernardino, CA on July 16 alongside The Get Up Kids, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday and many other familiar names from the era.

This news was teases with a post on Twitter just last week, featuring an updated graphic for the band. You can check it out right here:

After a number of fans started reacting to the news, the band shared those tweets as well, adding more excitement to the upcoming announcement. Just this week, The Anniversary shared the news that the 2016 Taste of Chaos festival's closing date would include their reunion. Check out this tweet, including a lineup of other bands, right here:

Bands like Hey Mercedes, Piebald, and Thursday, all hailing from the same era of emo as The Anniversary, are reuniting for the August 12 to 14 concert event.
