Prince has taken down all concert footage and any other YouTube videos featuring him or his music this week, and then went on a Twitter rant to explain the decision. As is the usual reaction to one's own ranting on the social media platform, these tweets have since been deleted. Obviously, we saw the tweets, so check out his reasoning below.

It looks like Prince was aware of the backlash of the removal of these videos, so he took to Twitter with the message: "Since YouTube doesn't pay equitable licensing fees, isn't that a nonsensical question?" This was all in caps, by the way. He also asked, "Shouldn't your concerns be directed at YouTube and not here?" This was also in all caps, as are many of his tweets, and in shorthand, too.

Since this first tweets, he went on a long "rant" of sorts, even replying to a number of followers' tweets, sharing more reasons for his recent actions.

According to Consequence of Sound, which has shared screengrabs of the ranting tweets, Prince was not mad, despite some fans asking, but was apparently bored with the controversy.

When asked why he doesn't have his own YouTube account, Prince made a firm stance against the online video hosting website. "Enough with YouTube already," he told one follower.

Whatever the reasoning behind these tweets, Prince decided to delete them all and has been pretty quiet on the social media platform since.

While these tweets have been deleted, he did share a concert poster for an upcoming series recently. Check it out right here:

Did you know that there's a Facebook page dedicated to Prince's deleted tweets? Weird, huh? Anyway, check it out right here.
