Faith Evans is in the final stages and putting the finishing touches on her duet album, The King & I with her late husband, rapper The Notorious B.I.G.

The R&B Divas creator and producer recently completed a radio interview on the Dame Dash Radio Show where she spoke in detail about the process of releasing The King & I.

"I'm kind of in the finishing stages," the mother of four explained during her phone interview with Dash.

A Billboard report revealed that fans of Evans, who have been anxiously awaiting the release date of the duet album that contains previously recorded vocals of the Life After Death rapper (Christopher Wallace), will soon have a finished product to purchase and enjoy.

The project was first announced in 2014 during an interview with Hip Hollywood where the "You Used To Love Me" singer explained how this is something she has been thinking about and wanting to do for years, but never got around to handling what needed to be done to execute the project. At the time, all she had were ideas and a title: The King & I.

Now, two years later, Evans explained how she has linked up with Voletta Wallace, B.I.G's mother, to move full speed ahead on getting the project completed.

"If he was alive, I know we would've done something like this, but the way it's coming together - the way I'm using his vocals, it's just giving his stuff new life," Evans said. "I think people are gonna really enjoy it."

When it comes to executing a music video for the first single, or even performing some of the tracks off of the album live, Evans revealed that she has already been in discussion with different companies to incorporate a hologram of the late rapper, according to EUR.
