Action Bronson just lost another concert booking. Trinity College has followed suit in the footsteps of fellow pricey institution George Washington University and removed the "Baby Blue" rapper from their upcoming Spring Fling concert on April 30 with Kehlani.

In a statement on Facebook, Trinity explained why they decided to remove Action Bronson from the lineup. They cited a Change.org petition that gathered 1,000 signatures in less than 24 hours and has 1,289 at the time of writing. It is hard to know if all of those are from Trinity or if some are from outside the student base, but for a school of 2,099 full-time undergraduate and 82 graduate students that is a good bit.

They explain that Action Bronson was originally voted as the Spring Fling headliner in November, which makes this even more ironic.

"Despite having done research on all of the musical artists we were looking into, we clearly did not do a thorough enough check into the content of Action Bronson's lyrics and music videos. As a committee, we take responsibility for that mistake."

They cite GW's decision to remove Bronson from their Spring Weekend lineup as a wakeup call. They then did research into his lyrics and become worried, voting to remove him on March 31. They removed him "because of his lyrics, music, videos, and the misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia that they promote."

"We would also like to state that we do not think that his lyrics are representative of all of Hip-Hop music and Hip-Hop culture," states the college.

They do acknowledge that they will still have to pay out Bronson for the fee they paid him for the show, so in the end he will be laughing his way to the bank.
