Kesha may have found an out to record some new music in form of Zedd, but that does not mean her ongoing legal battle with her alleged rapist and producer Dr. Luke is over. One small portion of the multi-state court battle is coming to a close as Kesha's mom, Pebe Sebert, has dropped her counterclaims against the producer.

In 2014, Dr. Luke filed a lawsuit against Sebert in Tennessee on claims of defamation and "tortious interference" with her daughters contract. The suit was filed in conjunction with a similar one in New York.

Sebert then filed the counterclaims of intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress based on Kesha's alleged abuse that she outlined in her initial suits, which were filed in New York, Tennessee and California. She also claimed that Dr. Luke promised she would involved in her daughter's career including as a songwriter, but that never came to be.

"The litigation with Dr. Luke has been a nightmare for Mrs. Sebert and her family," Alex Little, Pebe Sebert's attorney, said in a statement to Rolling Stone. "She has decided to move on and find peace and forgiveness in her heart rather than dwelling in the cancerous past of an ongoing lawsuit with no end in sight."

"Pebe Sebert's voluntary withdrawal of all her claims against Dr. Luke is her acknowledgement that her claims are meritless," Christine Lepera, Dr. Luke's attorney, said to Rolling Stone. "Dr. Luke's defamation and other claims continue against Pebe and Kesha Sebert."

Earlier this month, a New York judge dismissed all but one claim Kesha filed in her countersuit against Dr. Luke and Sony Music as the judge did not feel the singer had produced enough evidence to say the producer had intentionally tormented her or it qualified as a hate crime.

One claim is still going ahead involving her contract. She will release a song with Zedd tomorrow - "True Colors," her first in almost three years.
