When Drake showed up for an interview on Beats 1 radio with Zane Lowe, the Views from the 6 (or just Views, now... right?) rapper revealed that he and Kanye West had worked on some music together in the past, with the hopes of releasing a mixtape or album. There's no word on a collaboration record between Drizzy and The Life of Pablo mastermind, but it could drop soon, if you believe Drake's teasing interview.

Considering Drake is an Apple Music artist and Kanye is a Tidal co-owner, this might be harder to figure out than you'd think. Hopefully this doesn't keep a mixtape with two of the biggest hip-hop artists from us though.

"We had plans," Drake explained on Beats 1 radio, according to The Smoking Section. "We were supposed to do a mixtape together or an album together. Maybe we'll get that done."

That "maybe" is going to have to hold us all over until we get an official word from either artist.

Drake's Views just dropped today, April 29, 2016, following the impressive release(s) of West's The Life of Pablo earlier in the year - so why not add another 2016 to both of their discographies?

Drake's What a Time to be Alive mixtape with Future was an instant classic in the hip-hop world, so just imagine what would happen if he teamed up with Kanye!

Of course, West has to check his ego and Drake has to ... well, accept West's ego for this to go down.
