After about a year of dating, Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez have reportedly broken up. The "Dangerous Woman" singer may have hinted about the split after she deleted photos of Alvarez from her Instagram account.
The two were confirmed as a couple in July last year after Grande and Alvarez, who was one of her backup dancers, were spotted kissing inside a donut shop in California. This was also the same incident when a surveillance camera captured the artist licking the donuts, according to ET Online.
Before dating Alvarez, Grande's boyfriend was the rapper Big Sean. The two were together for eight months before they decided to go their separate ways in April 2015.
However, as noted by the news site, a source close to Grande and Alvarez confirmed that they have ended their relationship. Aside from deleting photos of Alvarez on her social media accounts, Grande also posted a series of cryptic tweets that could have referred to the breakup.

This was then followed by the tweet "and change is f*cking fantastic."
It is not yet clear what exactly caused the split since neither Alvarez nor Grande has released a statement to address the matter. However, about a week before it happened, Grande was spotted with her rumored ex-boyfriend Graham Phillips of the television series White Collar. The actor even posted of him and Grande on his Instagram account.

According to International Business Times, the two were together on July 16 at Los Angeles' Red O restaurant. In the caption for the photo uploaded by Phillips, he referred to the meeting as a mini reunion for 13, the Broadway musical that he and Grande starred in back in 2008.
