As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day, there will are three major events with fireworks, food and great country music to look forward to.

Fort Worth, Texas

For the past 40 years, Willie Nelson has been celebrating our nation with a huge annual 4th of July Picnic. This year, for the 41st annual event, Willie will be joined by Dierks Bentley, the Josh Abbott Band, Jamey Johnson, Ryan Bingham, Johnny Bush, David Allan Coe, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Charley Pride, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Paula Nelson, Insects vs. Robots (Micah Nelson) and Folk Uke. Held at Billy Bob’s Texas, the world’s largest honky tonk, general admission day of show tickets are $60.

Houston, Texas

The Mayor's official Fourth of July celebration has become a signature event in Houston. The 6-hour party, held in the Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou will feature vintage aircraft flyovers, the Walmart All-American Kids Zone (a children’s entertainment area with a stage featuring entertainment for kids of all ages), military assets (like tanks and helicopters) along with all five branches of the military at KBR Liberty Park, the new Bud Light Lime-A-Rita Beach Bash (with the All-American Beer Garden) and the Dr Pepper One of a Kind Zone, featuring all four Houston professional sports team set-ups, music, food, and a cooling area. The night will end with Jennifer Nettles performing and one of the largest fireworks displays in the country. Tickets are $10 at the gate.

Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville is called Music City for good reason and the city throws down on July 4th. This year's free July 4th celebration in the heart of downtown Nashville will have mutliple stages. The McDonald's Family Fun Zone at the Bridgetone Arena Plaza will kick off at 1 pm with music from Jason Eskridge, Kacey Smith, and The Farewell Drifters. At 6:45 pm, the Jack Daniel's Main Stage will host Striking Matches, Ashley Monroe and Billy Currington. When the Nashville Symphony takes the stage at 9:45 pm, they will be performing a choreographed show, providing the music for a 27-minute fireworks spectacular that will feature over 30,000 fireworks shells totaling more than 16,000 lbs.
