BET and its affiliates are setting plans in motion and preparing VIP packages to bring yet another year of excitement and concerts to Las Vegas for the 2016 Soul Train Awards.

Though not much information has been released as of yet on what soul music lovers can expect for this year's award show, we do know this - it's coming this November and headed straight to Vegas baby!

A photo posted to the BET Soul Train Twitter account confirmed the Soul Train Weekend is in the works and for a limited time only, interested award show-goers can register for first notification options for VIP packages.

The the twitter post, listing the details of how to gain exclusive access, featured a photo of Erykah Badu, who served as the 2015 host, and gave an attention-grabbing mini-performance of her single "Put Your Phone Down," specifically directed to entertainers seated in the audience, as reported by Rolling Stone. Although BET re-launched the awards show back in 2009, it was only in April of this year that the network officially acquired the brand in its entirety from InterMedia Partners and The Yucaipa Companies, as announced on the webiste.

The 2015 awards show could present itself to be a hard act to follow, after introducing two stand-out "first timers" to the program.

The first ever R&B/Soul cypher featuring Chrisette MicheleK-Ci of the group Jodeci, Lalah Hathaway, Eddie LeVert and Badu on the turntables, gave the show a signature BET element, similar to that of the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The show also introduced a brand new honor, strictly for the ladies, and Jill Scott deservingly walked away holding the title as the first ever recipient of the Lady Of Soul Award.

Last year's show also featured performances from BrandyR. Kelly, Boyz II Men, Tyrese and Fantasia, plus Jazmine Sullivan and Erica Campbell, and many more.

The anticipation is at all time high and fans can't wait to see what the network will present with this year's 2016 Soul Train Awards, scheduled for November 3 - 6.
