Adele paid homage onstage at Madison Square Garden to fallen Hollywood couple “Brangelina” last night following the news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are divorcing.
“I need to address the elephant in the room,” Adele said to the crowd, “But it’s the end of an era.”

Jolie filed for divorce this past Tuesday (Sept. 20) citing irreconcilable differences according to CNN. Court documents show that the two have split a little two years after they were married, and officially separated on September 15. Jolie is reportedly seeking physical custody of the couple’s six children, with Pitt being allowed visitation.
Her requests also ask that she be able to hold on to “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects” in addition to any money earned after the pair separated. A source reports that the two want to keep the breakup amicable, saying, “Other than the fame of the people involved, this is like so many other divorces.”
“I am saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well being of our kids,” Pitt said to CNN. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
Jolie has yet to comment on the split, but attorney Robert Offer claims that “This decision was made for the health of the family.”
