Kanye West has postponed a pair of tour dates on his Saint Pablo Tour this fall in response to the recent armed robbery targeting Kim Kardashian in Paris.
He was scheduled to perform tonight (Oct. 4) in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center and on Thursday, Oct. 6 in Detroit at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Both of those dates have been moved to December.
"Due to family concerns, this week's Philadelphia and Detroit dates on the Saint Pablo Tour have been rescheduled," the tour's promoter, Live Nation, said in a statement. "The Philadelphia show will take place on December 13th and the Detroit show on December 22nd."
Kim Kardashian was robbed and held at gunpoint in her Paris apartment early Monday morning. Reportedly, she lost nearly $10 million in jewelry and the French police think it could be an inside job.
Kanye West was performing at Meadows Festival at the time and walked off 20 minutes before his set was over. "I'm sorry. I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show," he told the very confused audience before exiting the stage.
