The Weeknd has been added to the list of performing artists at the 2016 AMAs. The “Starboy” singer is already a two time American Music Award winner, and the news was announced in a Facebook Live stream on the show’s page.

The AMAs have been using social media to announce each performer as they are confirmed, but the post for The Weeknd was by far the most extravagant. To reveal him as a performer at the awards show, an avid fan tattooed his signature “XO” logo on his wrist.

The singer joins Twenty One Pilots, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes, Green Day, Fifth Harmony and honoree Sting as those chosen to perform at the show.

The 2016 AMAs are slated to take place later this month (Nov. 20) and will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater on ABC at 8 PM eastern time.

Only a month away from releasing his new album Starboy, The Weeknd has also announced his Starboy: Legend Of The Fall Tour, and Phase 1 is slated to begin in Stockholm on Feb. 17, ending on June 9 in Cincinnati.

The tour will be running across the UK, Europe and North America, and will perform in US cities Dallas, Charlotte, Detroit, Toronto, Los Angeles and Brooklyn.

Fans who ordered Starboy on Nov. 1 by 5pm now have access to pre-sale tickets, with more information available on his website.
