There may be a light at the end of the tunnel after all for Tha Carter V. Birdman has confirmed in a new interview with Travis Scott on Beats 1 that Lil Wayne's long-awaited and shelved Tha Cater V is "definitely coming out."

Scott first gave Birdman some praise and then hit him with the question that everyone wants to know - what is going on with the album that has been at the middle of Weezy and Birdman's strife for the past couple of years.

Birdman gave a surprising answer given how tenuous their relationship has been.

"Carter V coming out," he said. "It's definitely coming out. The situation with me and my son, bruh -- I'ma put all of that behind us and just let it move forward."

The Cash Money Records founder also praised Wayne as one of the best artists in the game.

"Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I'm going to support whatever he's doing."

This news is great to hear for those who still want to hear Tha Carter V. At this point the hype behind the album may be impossible to live up to, but it would be good to see these two formerly close friends and business partners put their differences behind them.

It may just be talk though considering the legal battle that they are entangled in. Once Tha Carter V was shelved in 2014, Lil Wayne sued Birdman and Cash Money Records for $51 Million over the album and other unpaid royalties. Lil Wayne has cursed Birdman's name at many of his live shows during their legal process as well.

This could be all talk, but if the album does come out, this could have been the turning point.

The full interview airs today, Jan. 6 at 3 p.m.
