Carrie Underwood already proved her hockey fandom by marrying hubby Mike Fisher. Now she tackles another sport: football.

According to Rolling Stone, Underwood will soon share a sneak peak of her version of the Sunday Night Football theme song in movie theaters across the U.S.

Sunday Night Football coordinating producer Fred Caudelli said that Underwood and a dozen NFL players met in L.A. to film their rendition of "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night."

"There's a two-and-a-half-minute trailer that's going to debut in 19,000 movie theaters across America starting July 25," Gaudelli said. "The players had a great time. We were out here for five days. We shot the open for the regular season. We shot the open for Super Bowl XLIX, which will also star Carrie."

Game analyst Cris Collinsworth, who has seen the clip, said it gets him excited about the game.

"Every time I come in [to this event] and I hear Carrie sing the song, I get that same burst of energy that I get in the booth right before we come on the air. Clearly, one of my favorite parts is when they say our name, which is great for me. But you come out and I find myself just singing along to the song and doing the whole thing," Collinsworth said. "And then we come out of it and you almost have to go, 'Oh, yeah, what am I supposed to say again?' I just kind of get myself so completely into it."

The song is a reworking of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You." It has previously been performed by Faith Hill and Pink.

The trailer is set to run for two and a half weeks with Sunday Night Football premiering September 7th with a game between the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts.
