Sade's new song "Flower of the Universe" is featured in the official soundtrack for A Wrinkle In Time. The new song marks the singer's return to the music scene after eight years.

Ava DuVernay, the director of A Wrinkle In Time, said that she personally asked Sade to sing a song for the movie's soundtrack. The director said that she was unsure if Sade would say yes, but she did. She also called Sade a goddess.

"We began a journey together that I'll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for Wrinkle In Time. It's entitled 'Flower of the Universe.' And it's a dream come true," wrote DuVernay.

The soundtrack for A Wrinkle In Time also features songs by Sia, Demi Lovato, DJ Khaled, Chloe x Halle, Kehlani and more. The titles of the songs in the album are "I Believe," "Magic," "Let Me Live," "Warrior," and "Park Bench People."

Following the release of Soldier of Love, Sade has rarely been seen in public. Last year, Drake had the chance to meet Sade, and he documented the moment via his social media account. Sade, 59, also mingled with some musicians and models while at Drake's show in London.
