Eagles of Death Metal frontman and Bataclan survivor, Jesse Hughes, criticizes the "March For Our Lives" protest in Washington and other parts of United States.

Contrasting Opinions

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the singer-songwriter directly called out the survivors of the Feb. 14 Parkland school shooting, the same kids who organized the nation-wide rally, and mocked the efforts to push stricter gun laws.

"Obviously ... The best thing to do to combat chronic abusers and disregarders of the law (like the law against Murder) is to ... pass another Law," he wrote on the caption (via Rolling Stone). "But before we pass this law we're going to denigrate the memory and curse ourselves by exploiting the death of 16 of our fellow students for a few Facebook likes and some media attention."

On his post, Hughes also recalled the 2015 Bataclan mass shooting when armed terrorists stormed the venue of an Eagles of Death Metal concert and killed 89 people. While the band survived the event unscathed, they lose their merchandise manager, Nick Alexander.

"As the survivor of a mass shooting I can tell you from first-hand experience that all of you protesting and taking days off from school insult the memory of those who were killed and abuse and insult me and every other lover of liberty by your every action," he added.

On Stricter Gun Laws

Over the past two years, Hughes has spoken a great deal about the terrorist attack in Paris. He theorized that the assault was an inside job and accused the Muslim staff of the Bataclan club of conspiring with the jihadi extremist attackers.

The "Miss Alissa" singer also criticized France's strict gun control laws which, he commented, could not prevent anyone from dying at the hands of the terrorists.

"I think the only thing that stopped it was some of the bravest men that I've ever seen in my life charging head-first into the face of death with their firearms," he said in a previous television interview.

Guarding The Constitution

An ardent Trump supporter, Hughes also attacked Emma Gonzalez, one of the survivors of the Parkland shooting, by posting a photoshopped image of the high school senior ripping up the Constitution. On the caption, the Eagles of Death Metal vocalist called her "the Awful Face Of Treason."

In another deleted post, Hughes said that he should never had mixed politics and rock and roll. He said that he might open another Instagram account that will solely be about his political beliefs.

He never apologized to Gonzalez or the survivors of the Parkland school shooting.
