The Deftones may have already started working on their new album. The group shared two photos of them working at the studio this week.

Deftones's cryptic photo caption is so telling because the members used the words "back at it" and "jamming." Fans are convinced that the group will release their new album sometime this year. Unfortunately, other details are still being kept under wraps.

Chino Moreno Talks About Deftones

Last year, Chino Moreno, the lead vocalist of Deftones, talked about their future plans. He said that he and his bandmates have known each for years that is why it always feels good to reunite.

"We grew up in the same neighborhood, spending every day in the garage together, at school, after school. Then 10, 15, 20 years later, we're all grown adults with children living in different cities - so when we go back on tour it's like we get to go back to the clubhouse," said Moreno.

The vocalist also said that he and his bandmates do not talk about the kinds of songs they will record. Most of the time, they do things spontaneously.

"That's what keeps it fresh for us. We don't try to box ourselves into these pre-conceived ideas, but we have talked about getting together sooner [rather] than later to start making noise together - just out of pure excitement of creating music," added Moreno.
