Mumford & Sons surprised fans with their cover of Radiohead's hit song "All I Need" at the Newport Folk Festival.
A video of the duo's unexpected performance of the Radiohead song was uploaded online via YouTube. The over three-minute clip opens with guitarist and frontman Marcus Mumford singing the first few lines to "All I Need." Phoebe Bridges sings immediately after him, and the two artists even exchanged their vocals on some stanzas of the song.
On Saturday, the British band played a total of 15 songs at the festival. The band also sang "The Boxer" and "Kansas City" with Brandi Carlile. The artist also joined Mumford & Sons in performing "Awake My Soul."
During last weekend's show, Mumford & Sons also invited Mavis Staples, Maggie Rogers, Bridges, among others to join them on stage. All of them sang a beautiful rendition of "The Weight."
Mumford & Sons To Appear On Tom Morello's Album
Other than the performance, Mumford & Sons made headlines recently after reports emerged the group will be featured on Tom Morello's album.
The Atlas Underground will be released on Oct. 12, and it will also feature collaborations between Morello, The Man, RZA, Bassnectar, and more.
Will The Band Release A New Album?
There is still no word on whether Mumford & Sons will release an album or not. The band's last compilation was released three years ago, and it is called Wilder Man. While fans are still waiting for a new single from the group, the band opened up about the struggles they faced why recording the guitar-driven project.
"A lot of people heard [lead single] 'Believe' and started giving the album one-star reviews on iTunes before it had even come out. It was definitely hard for our fans, I think," said guitarist Ted Dwane.
