In the genre of Christian or gospel music, one of the biggest names is Kari Jobe. For over 15 years, she uses her talent to "lead people into the presence of God." 

Who is Kari Jobe?

Kari Brooke Jobe was born, April 6, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Jobe, and she has two younger siblings Kris and Caleb Jobe. Mark was a Pastor in Global Ministries at Gateway Church.

When she was five, she was in the children's church when she heard about Jesus. One pastor from the children's ministry brought her to the main church when her father Mark, was preaching. Because of this, she can lead the prayer and accept Christ. She also began singing worship music in her father's church for two years.

She attended Oral Roberts University and Christ For the Nations, where she also served on the worship personnel. She graduated at Dallas Baptist University with degrees in psychology and pastoral ministries. In 2006, she became the Assistant Worship Pastor of the Gateway Church.

Jobe married Cody Carnes in 2014, and they have two children. Her first child was born in June 2018 while the couple's second child was born on February 1, 2019.

Jobe has produced nine albums, with most of them are from Sparrow Records. Some of her albums in 2009are self-titled: "Where I Find You" in 2012, "Majestic" in 2014, and "The Garden" in 2017. Other albums were "Bethlehem" in 2007 and "Throneroom Worship: Live Acoustic Worship" in 2004.

Kari Jobe also made many songs that are served to praise God. Some of her songs are "We Are," "Revelation Song," "I am Not Alone," "Heal Our Land," and "Cover The Earth," according to All Music.

Awards

Jobe Won the 2010 Dove Awards for Spanish Language Album of the Year for Le Canto, and Special Events Album of the Year for Glory Revealed 2: The Word of God in Worship. She also won the Worship Album of the Year for Majestic in 2014 and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year for the Garden. She also nominated in 2013 Grammys for her album Where I Find You, according to Ace Showbiz.

She also got a nomination as a Female Artist of the year at the K-LOVE Fan Awards in 2015.

Life during the quarantine

Today, Kari and her husband urged their fans that they should not go back to normal yet, and they assured that God is reestablishing in all the homes of His followers in the time of the quarantine.

The couple also did a 10-hour live stream alongside 50 pastors, musicians, and speakers in an event called "Leader Check-In." 

"We have to go back and look at His character and the things He has brought us through before, and that is the same God that is in this with us right now," Jobe said on the live stream. "We can trust Him and take His word and hold onto it." 

Jobe, Carnes, and Elevation Worship also made a collaboration last April 4 titled "The Blessing," and it drew 1.3 million listeners in U.S. Streams, according to Billboard.
