Machine Gun Kelley performs a stripped-down version of his latest hit "Bloody Valentine," in his black punk-rock vest, acoustic guitar in hand, in a desolate place overlooking Los Angeles.

In the music video, MGK drives his motorcycle to an isolated area overlooking Los Angeles. The "Glass House" artist begins with this acoustic cover sitting on his bike and holding his guitar. "The simulation just went bad, but you're the best I ever had," MGK began.

The Sam Cahill-directed minimalist music video takes almost all of the 3:33 sequence capturing MGK's stripped-back performance. Clad in an all-black punk rock getup, Machine Gun Kelly delivers in his latest song: "I don't make fake love, but I'll take some from you tonight. I know I've got to go, but I might just miss the flight."

Bloody Valentine's acoustic version turn the track into a serious, introspective session. It contrasts with the more upbeat original version, whose music video features his rumored partner Megan Fox. The "Transformers" star was recently seen with the rapper at Mr. Furley's Bar in Los Angeles Monday, June 15.

The MGK - Travis Barker pair recently teamed up for a cover of "Killing in the Name." In support of the Black Lives Matter, their Rage Against the Machine cover was uploaded on MGK's YouTube channel. The video included a caption: "they [RATM] wrote this song in 1992. Its been 28 years since and every word still applies."

Both Kelly and Barker also took to the streets of LA. The artists expressed solidarity with the George Floyd protests that have swept the country.

A Cross-Genre Artist On The Rise

Machine Gun Kelly, born Richard Colson Baker, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. He made his major-label debut in 2011 with his hip-hop album "Lace Up," which was commercially successful. However, critics felt that it falls short compared to his earlier mixtapes. It contained the hit single "Wild Boy," featuring Waka Flocka. Another single from "Lace Up," the Ester Dean-supported "Invincible" was used in an HTC advertisement and was the official theme for WWE's Wrestlemania XXVIII.

He later released his follow-up hip-hop albums "General Admission" (2015), "Bloom" (2017), and "Hotel Diablo" (2019). MGK has been displaying a steady move into rock, with "Hotel Diablo" being labeled a rap-rock album. It debuted at the fifth spot of the Billboard album charts, earning commercial and critical success.

As an actor, he made his debut with the 2014 romance-drama "Beyond the Lights." He also starred and served as the co-executive producer in the 2016 drama film "The Land." MGK has also made appearances various television shows, including "WWE Raw," "Guy Court," "Catfish," and a recurring role in the drama-comedy "Roadies."
