Dua Lipa first started her professional career as a model. She later signed with the Warner Music Group in 2015, releasing her debut album two years later. Since then, she has released a string of successful hits, mostly in the UK. However, she has also managed to establish a growing following in the US, winning a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2019.

To further appreciate the British singer-songwriter who has taken pop music by storm, here are Dua Lipa's three songs in Billboard's mainstream Top 40.

"Electricity" (No. 11, released September 2018)

"Electricity" is a collaboration between Silk City, composed of hit producers Diplo and Mark Ronson, with Dua Lipa. It was both released as a single, in a 12-inch vinyl format, as well as a part of Lipa's debut studio album.

An accompanying music video was released on Ronson's YouTube channel. The Bradley and Pablo directed visual featured Dua Lipa performing in an abandoned warehouse. The "Electricity" music video also featured references to the 2003 Northeast blackout, which greatly affected Ontario, Canada as well as the US' Northeastern and Midwestern areas.

It managed to climb up to No. 11 on the mainstream Top 40. It also topped the Dance Club songs and peaked at No. 5 on the Hot Dance/Electronic songs charts.

"One Kiss" (No. 4, released April 2018)

This time, it was Scottish producer Calvin Haris who worked with Lipa on this dance-pop track. It featured the popular chorus hook, "One kiss is all it takes, falling in love with me." The upbeat dance-pop and Eurodance track was first released on April 6, 2018.

Its accompanying music video first premiered as an Apple Music exclusive on May 1, 2018. It was then widely released through Calvin Harris' YouTube channel the following day. Upon its release, it first debuted at No. 3 before rising to the top of the singles chart in the UK. It also topped the UK dance charts.

In the US, it peaked at the fourth spot of the mainstream Top 40. It also rose to the second spot of the Hot Dance/Electronic songs charts. Harris' and Dua Lipa's track would also dominate the singles charts in multiple countries - including Scotland, Poland, Mexico, and the Netherlands.

"New Rules" (No. 1, released July 2017)

One of the signature Dua Lipa singles, "New Rules" first dropped on July 15, 2017 in the UK and August 22 in the US. It was memorable for its EDM and electro pop beat whose lyrics enumerate the "new rules" for dealing with an ex-lover.

Its music video, directed by Henry Scholfield, premiered in Dua Lipa's official YouTube channel on July 7, 2017. It now has close to 2.2 billion views as of this writing. The music video features Lipa apparently trying to get back with her ex as her friends prevent her from doing so. It has since become among the anthems of female empowerment from the last years.

The music video has been largely credited for the song's success, which eventually peaked at the top spot of the mainstream Top 40. It also managed to climb up to the sixth spot of the all-genre Hot 100 charts.
