On August 29, Saturday, it was announced that the "Black Panther" star Chadwick Boseman has passed away at age 43.

He passed away over a four-year battle with colon cancer. He passed away at his home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side.

A tweet was shared with his official Twitter account, sharing the news with fans. Chadwick Boseman was initially diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled it for four years as it escalated to stage IV. Though not many details were included, it has been revealed that Chadwick Boseman was undergoing chemotherapy and numerous surgeries while pursuing his career, including while he was filming "Black Panther".

Chadwick Boseman never spoke publicly about his diagnosis. His family is thankful for the love and prayers they have received from fans and asks everyone to continue their privacy during this difficult time.

Chadwick Boseman was born on November 29, 1976. As an actor, he is well-known for his portrayals of real-life historical figures. Some of his notable roles include Jackie Robinson in the 2013 film "42", James Brown in the 2014 film "Get on Up", and Thurgood Marshall in the 2017 film "Marshall". He also achieved critical acclaim for his portrayal of the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, such as "Captain America: Civil War", "Black Panther", "Avengers: Infinity War", and "Avengers: Endgame".
