Christmas is right around the corner, and fans have been playing their favorite holiday music since the beginning of December. However, an article dubbed one of "Twenty One Pilot's" tracks as one of the worst Christmas songs of all time, and fans aren't convinced; here's why.

Rolling Stone recently released their top 20 worst songs for the holidays. Coming at number 16 is the band's "Christmas Saves the Year," which was released last year.

One of the writers, Dave Brown, mentioned the song had good intentions as they released the track during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. (listen to the music below)

The song was described to have a "pretty-for-them" melody combined with "Trans-Siberian Orchestra," but the overall results did not please the outlet as they labeled it as "dreary and sludgy."

After the article made rounds around the internet, one fan shared a screenshot of the report, and other supporters bombarded the reply section, saying they were disappointed with the critique about the song. (check out the tweet below)

One fan defends the band by saying they don't need the author's opinion, "do we look like we care about some author's opinions [for real] we don't need articles like that."

Another supporter chimed in, saying the author has a personal vendetta against "Twenty One Pilots," "this person "D.B." obviously has something against them but stay petty. I'm still buying their music and concert tickets. see you at the icy tour."

However, despite other fans' efforts to defend their favorite band, other supporters agree that this is one of the group's worst songs of all time.

"Hate to say this, but CSTY is not as good as everyone says it lmao," one fan wrote.

Another fan agreed, saying, "Might be about to get canceled, but I'm with you. [i don't know] if I'd say 16th worst. I dislike [Christmas] music in general, though, so figured it was just me."

At the time of this writing, "Twenty One Pilots" has not publicly commented on the matter.

Rolling Stone's Worst Christmas Songs

Aside from the band, other musicians and their songs on the list include Stevie Wonder's "Twinkle Twinkle Little Me," New Kids on the Block's "Funky, Funky, Xmas," Pentatonix's "That's Christmas to Me," and many more.

Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" is also among the songs. Angie Martoccio noted that 17-year-old Bieber is singing the word "shawty" to his girlfriend.

The song was described as one of his "cringe" songs.
