Metallica will grace the stage in two summer stadium shows this year, the band confirmed.

A new report released by Rolling Stone confirmed that the rock band chose two stops for their 2022 tour. The first of the two shows will be held at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, on August 11. Fans can wait for three days to see them again for their second and final show this year at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Band's fans can officially avail tickets starting March 4, 10:00 a.m, at Ticketmaster. Legacy Fan Club members will have special presale slots on February 28 at 9:00 a.m, while the General Fan Club members can have theirs two hours later.

Metallica will still meet fans the other way, though, as the two shows are not the only tours they have this year.

On Friday, the rock group will hit the stage of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. They are also scheduled to appear in the BottleRock Festival in Napa, California, and Boston Calling in Boston in May.

Metallica is set to launch shows in South America and Europe this spring and summer.

Jason Newsted Shares Thoughts About Joining Metallica

The announcement came after Metallica's former member, Jason Newsted, recently sat down for an interview and talked about the band.

Newsted, who left the band 21 years ago, talked to Louder's Stephen Hill about his audition for the rock band and his feelings after playing with them for the first time.

According to the musician, he prepared himself for everything before his early flight from Phoenix to San Francisco. He reportedly practiced repeatedly until the band members arrived at 10:00 a.m.

"They're still f****** self-medicating, grief-stricken [after Cliff's death], running from this process that they know they have to be forced into. So already the ground is shaky, I've been awake for two days because I've been thinking about this moment," he said.

He then handed the set that Metallica played in Tucson, and he reportedly asked James Hetfield to give him a song to play.

Newsted then played a song after another before the band members asked him questions about his schedule and bookings. After the audition, he flew home. But 30 hours later, he received a call from Lars Ulrich about getting the slot in the band.
