Greta Van Fleet recently canceled three gigs on their current tour due to the hospitalization of guitarist Jake Kiszka.

The band made the announcement on its social media outlets following the announcement of the postponing of their remaining "Dreams in Gold" world tour.

While lead vocalist Josh Kiszka recovered from a non-COVID ailment, his guitarist brother's condition is said to have deteriorated to the point of hospitalization.

The band explained that Jake's diagnosis is more complicated because it began as a minor cough on Tuesday and quickly escalated overnight, necessitating his hospitalization.

Greta Van Fleet also stated that the last 24 hours had been challenging for them as a band, as well as the medics who were treating Josh, because they were unclear of the exact ailment.

But, in the end, they were able to continue their evaluation and were confident in their diagnosis of pneumonia in Josh.

The 25-year-old musician's physicians are also said to be working on a treatment plan for him.

The band has also rescheduled tomorrow's gig in Huntington, West Virginia, for August 10. The Flint show will take place on September 13th, while the Ypsilanti show will take place the next night.

They are said to be dismayed at having to rearrange their plans after having "the most inspiring and spectacular start" to their US tour.

Greta Van Fleet also stated on social media, "We are grateful for your generosity and positive support during this trying time."

"We vow to offer you the most up-to-date information as the situation evolves," they told their followers.

The "Dreams in Gold" tour began its US tour on March 10 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Greta Van Fleet opened for Metallica on February 25 in Las Vegas and has since confirmed two new dates with them. Their road journey will last through February 25.
