On Monday (Aug. 4), Wiz Khalifa surprised rap and pop fans alike by releasing a heartfelt, sung (and heavily autotuned) new single "Promises." Today (Aug. 6), the new track from Blacc Hollywood got the official music video treatment, and it's nothing but a classic city love story.

The music video begins simply, with Khalifa and his friends playing a little basketball on a public court, when a pretty young lady walks by at the exact same moment the ball rolls away. Ever the suave dude, Khalifa walks over to the fence to retrieve the basketball, meeting his new love interest in the same moment.

Khalifa and his newfound love then simply hang out together, getting to know one another and falling in love while strolling down the street and sitting in a parked Jeep. It's the small moments, a smile, an arm across the shoulder, that show the bonds between Khalifa and his video girl.

It's actually all very sweet, with shots of Khalifa and his girl looking earnest and hopeful against a graffiti wall, all while singing and rapping to the tender beat.

"Promises" is a new track from Khalifa's fifth studio album Blacc Hollywood and follows the release of "We Dem Boyz," "KK," "You and Your Friends," and "Stayin Out All Night."

Blacc Hollywood will be released on Tuesday, Aug. 19. It's Khalifa's first new album in two years and the immediate follow up to O.N.I.F.C.
