Is Thirty Seconds to Mars finally dropping a new album after years of hiatus?

Thirty Seconds to Mars' fans have been craving new music since the band dropped their last album, "America," in 2018. For four years, the band seemingly stepped out of the spotlight - but Jared Leto dropped an exciting update recently.

During the red carpet event at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, the band's guitarist Jared Leto spoke with ET and disclosed their future in the music scene.

Per the 50-year-old actor, Thirty Seconds to Mars is gearing up to drop new music soon.

"We've been working on our new album for the past couple years," he said. "We have about 300 songs, I think now. We're going to whittle it down and start releasing songs really soon."

Aside from releasing new songs, Leto also expressed his desire for the band to start touring again. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their potential return halted even more in the past years. But as the industries begin to open again, the actor expressed how excited they are to get back out and start hitting the road again.

Jared Leto Says He's Not Confident About Himself

Although he appeared on the red carpet event looking more stylish, the actor spoke candidly about not feeling confident and good at all.

"No, I [actually] don't really mind making a mistake or three. I don't take it very serious. It's just fashion and I just have fun with it. I work with the folks at Gucci and they take good care of me," he said, saying that it is always full of doubt and fear for him.

Still, he acknowledged the transformation he went through in "Morbius," which is currently the No. 1 movie in the world. Leto has been known for losing and gaining weight immediately, depending on his role.

For Morbius, he noted that his intense weight loss was truly challenging. He told Yahoo! that, while he has been doing it in a lot of films, losing weight is a bad thing for one's health.

The musician explained that losing weight is different from gaining, and the latter is reportedly harder for him.

His co-star, Adria Arjona, and director Daniel Espinosa expressed how terrifying to see Leto's transformation for the movie. Although it was really impressive, they disclosed that it looked like the move was about to tear Leto apart.
