Wolf Alice is currently touring across North America, and many fans have noticed that guitarist Joff Oddie has been significantly absent. Today, the musician has finally addressed the situation and offered a shocking explanation for why he missed a lot of shows.

According to NME, the London-based group started their scheduled shows last month featuring songs from their third studio album, "Blue Weekend."

Many fans took to social media to point out Oddie's absence as he was replaced by a stand-in guitarist at all of the shows on their North American leg.

To finally address the issue, Wolf Alice's official Twitter account shared a statement from Oddie himself where he explained why he's temporarily missing from the group.

"I'm sorry I've been late in getting in touch with you all. I can assure you all that I'm fine and thank those who have expressed concern," he penned.

The guitarist said he's been busy at home in Cornwall over the past few weeks because a loved one has been ill.

"Family always comes first and I'd like to thank my band mates and those who I work with for supporting me during this time," he added.

Oddie concluded the post by saying he hopes to get back as soon as possible as he misses his fans already.

After posting the letter, fans immediately bombarded the reply section, with one user telling the musician to take all the time he needed, and they will continue to support him when it's the right time for him to come back.
