Evanescence singer Amy Lee has announced the release of her debut solo album Aftermath through her Facebook page. Aftermath is the soundtrack to the upcoming film War Story, directed by Mark Jackson and starring Catherine Keener and Sir Ben Kingsley, which she collaborated on with American composer Dave Eggar.

The album features two songs performed solely by Lee, seven songs performed with Eggars, and one song performed with Morrocan singer Malika Zarra. The album can be pre-ordered right now on Amazon and iTunes and will be officially released on Aug. 25 through 110 Records.

Though Aftermath will be Lee's first full-length album as a solo artist, it is not the first time she's released music under her own name. She has been featured on various tribute compilations, including the Nightmare Before Christmas tribute album Nightmare Revisited from 2008, the Muppets tribute album Muppets - The Green Album from 2011, and the live Johnny Cash tribute album We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash from 2012.

Aftermath is the first original music that Amy Lee has released since Evanescence went on hiatus following their world tour in late 2012. Evanescence's last album was 2011's Evanescence.
