Elton John rushed to Instagram on Thursday to assert that he is in good health after being spotted in a wheelchair and appearing fragile after a mishap. Suddenly fans were all worried that he could no longer walk, or even sing.

Sharing a photo of himself on stage, the 75-year-old musician added, "I want to thank all my fans for reaching out to ask about my health."

He then clarified the photo and the circulating rumors that he is in ill-health.

"The true story is that I'm in top health, loving my shows and playing and singing at my very best. I give 100% every night and never want to disappoint, especially after everyone has waited so long to get back to seeing shows," he added.

He said he needed to be on the wheelchair because he just felt so tired at the time.

He revealed that he just performed for a 2.5 hour performance and so when he and his time arrived at the Leipzig airport just before curfew and discovered that a portion of the airport was closed, they needed to walk. This was the only time that he felt he no longer could, so he had to use the wheelchair that his staff provided.

"It was an extremely long walk to get to the plane, so my team kindly laid on a wheelchair so I could rest my hip after doing the show. That's all folks," he clarified.

He is grateful to know that many people care about him though. His show in Bern was also another blockbuster. Milan fans need not worry about him, because he added that he's "looking forward to seeing everyone at this weekend's sold-out show" in that city.

But fans cannot be faulted for thinking the worst. It can be remembered that the legendary singer took a hiatus from his Farewell "Yellow Brick Road" Tour due to certain illnesses.

Therefore, the Gucci-clad singer was already labeled feeble even when he was spotted in a wheelchair. Seeing him in one just made people worry even more.

This month, he will continue his European tour.

Elton has released his carefully chosen lineup for his massive BST Hyde Park concert on June 24.

The performers include Rina Sawayama, Gabriels, Let's Eat Grandma, Berwyn, Thomas Headon, Tom A Smith, and Juanita Euka, who were hand-picked by Elton himself.

Rina Sawayama rose to prominence in 2020 after the publication of her critically praised debut album SAWAYAMA.
